One more rose....
Just added one rose painted on an ACEO. I am currently working on a larger rose painting, too. Seems to be that time of year for roses! Funny how this larger painting - at 6 x 6 inches suddenly seems so big! I've gotten so used to working small.

Be Mine - SOLD
Valentines Day and candy.....go together, right?
Kind of like how I like to paint flowers in order to make them last, why not paint candy in order to enjoy it without the calories?! Here is a classic Valentine candy:

What Remains - SOLD
I had forgotten how much I enjoy painting roses.
This rose is a little past its prime and had a character all its own. I wanted to make the lighting a little more dramatic and emphasize the folds and waves of the wilting petals. I think that even a wilting rose is beautiful - we don't all stay young and fresh forever!
This is on a 6 x 4 canvas - seems kinda large compared to what I have been working with lately! I like this size, and may have to get more canvas since I tend to like to paint more flowers when spring approaches.

Tangled - SOLD
I seem to be caught up in wanting to make little paintings of objects around me. I loved the stem on this tomato, so yes, it too had to become a painting:

ACEO Article
What is an ACEO?
I get asked this all the time!
Here is a great article explaining the movement and talking about the ACEO market:

First Painting Completed in 2011!! - SOLD
I had two really gorgeous little pears. I've really enjoyed painting them. I think it is amazing how inanimate objects can take on personalities. These two pears really seemed to be snuggling together......

Mmmm, Candy! - SOLD
Finished this little ACEO the other day. I'd really love to make the goal of a painting a day for 2011. I know that can't really happen - especially with the weekends, but I am going to make an effort to come as close as I can!
