Another Maine field landscape. I love the way the goldenrod lines the roads this time of year, with other wildflowers adding little pops of color.
I could not resist buying a little bunch of sunflowers yesterday.....I am starting to see them blossoming out in the fields around here - time to go on a picture taking expedition I think! Anyways, as I am sitting here looking at this bunch of sunflowers, I am realizing the next landscape painting will be on hold for a little while....these flowers are calling me.....

This is delightful, Debbie! The painting reminds me of my favorite field in Waterford, CT - the Canadian goldenrod would signal that fall was on the way.
In the west and southwest, our summer-to-fall version of the bright yellow blooming shrub is rabbitbrush or chamisa (and sunflowers!). Both are kicking in now when everything else is dying back :).
Gorgeous Debbie! I actually can see myself walking in this field! Can't wait to see the flower painting ;o) Take Care!
Thanks, Sonya & Stacy!!
Sonya - I'm going to have to lookup those shrubs - I'm curious! ;-)
