Another rainy day project from Maine......We had blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins, blueberry pie - so why not a blueberry painting?!
I hope to get a few of the landscapes I worked on in Maine posted over the next few days. They may not be quite finished work, but they were definitely learning experiences!

Oooh...! The one and only time we visited Maine (only to be rained out and stuck going home 2 days early), it was in early Aug, during peak blueberry season. I sat down in the rain along the trail in Acadia NP, and ate wild blueberries - awesome! Best part of the trip, for sure (that and the lobster dinner).
I like that the painting is part still life, part botanical :).
