Prince Pizza Painting and a Winter Tropical Paint-In

Prince Restaurant
12 x 6 inches
acrylic on cradled board
SOLD

This was a new sign for me - the "leaning tower of pizza" on Route 1 - Prince Restaurant. The painting was a commission piece for someone whose family was involved in the making of the original sign. I have since done a smaller version of the sign - contact me for availability if you are interested!

Today was the first Sunday of this year's "Paint-In" at Nunan Florist and Greenhouses in Georgetown, Mass. What fun to paint in a tropical environment in the middle of winter - especially after last night's snowstorm! Artists from the Greater Haverhill Arts Association will be painting there on Sundays throughout January - and we will hold an exhibition on the last Sunday of the month. I will be sure to post my finished pieces - maybe my first florals since last year's Paint-In!

Spuds found a new home!

Spuds found a new home!

"Spuds Surrenders" was one of a number of my original paintings that sold this past weekend at the Haverhill Arts Association's Annual Art Festival. Lots of prints - and new calendars sold as well! A big thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun day.

Did you miss out on the Art Festival? I also be selling my work this weekend (September 17th) at the Boxford Apple Festival. And next Saturday, at the Haverhill Art Market. Feel free to contact me if you want more information!

Under the Lights - Painting of Neon Sign, Original Art by Debbie Shirley

Under the Lights
6 x 12 inches
acrylic on 3/4" cradled panel

Just a quick post to show the latest piece. Lots going on here! And a bunch of these signs and buildings coming up for some galleries and shows.

This piece will be  heading to Pop Gallery in Gloucester, Massachusetts in the next week or so, but I just may preview it at the Topsfield Strawberry Festival this weekend.

More to come....
