What Remains - SOLD

I had forgotten how much I enjoy painting roses.
This rose is a little past its prime and had a character all its own. I wanted to make the lighting a little more dramatic and emphasize the folds and waves of the wilting petals. I think that even a wilting rose is beautiful - we don't all stay young and fresh forever!
This is on a 6 x 4 canvas - seems kinda large compared to what I have been working with lately! I like this size, and may have to get more canvas since I tend to like to paint more flowers when spring approaches.

This should be up in my Etsy and ArtFire shops soon.
